With the occasion of its 150th celebration, the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University has decided to financially support the start of a new Scientific Journal dedicated to all areas of research in Physics. This decision has been motivated by the experience in the publication of the University Annals (physics section) which is terminating with this occasion an activity of more than 50 years.

The aim of the Editorial Board is to provide the scientific community – national and international – with a new Scientific Journal in Physics which is strongly committed to quality and high standards in the interaction with scientists interested to publish their original contributions in various domains of physics.

The Journal of Advanced Research in Physics will publish two issues per year (in June and December), each containing about 20 articles per number (reviews or original articles) in all areas of physics.

We hope to be able to analyze each article in a professional way and as swiftly as possible, we will provide an estimation of the publication or rejection decision within 10 weeks from the confirmed receiving date of the article. The Journal will offer at the beginning free access on the internet to all the published papers and to the accepted papers, as well.

With this occasion we are inviting the scientists and researchers working in all areas of Physics to send us their original contributions and review articles.
